TEST AND INSTALLATION OF ROCK CUTTING DRILL BIT ELEMENTS WEAR THROUGH AN ABRASIVE LAYER

In this study CFD investigation of paths topology for ultrasonic flow meters under distorted flow profiles is proposed. The set of discovered topologies was created and simulated under velocity profile after two 900 bends in perpendicular planes. In order to evaluate the performance of the multipath ultrasonic flow meters with different chord configurations the measurement error caused by flow asymmetry and error caused by flow deviation from classic turbulent form are determined. Obtained conclusions can be applied to specific service conditions and a significant reduction in error of ultrasonic flow meters can be achieved due to number of chords and their correct arrangement.
