Abstract

A new approach to solving the problem of determining the nature of the defect evaluation and prediction of the possibility of their development during the operation was proposed. This paper analyzes the feasibility of coherent information processing methods for the diagnosis of critical equipment. The method of control using ultrasonic phased array technology has been developed. The theoretical basis for the functioning of ultrasonic phased array shows the method of transducers selection for monitoring of different objects. Based on the above theory the quality control method of welded joints to detect and determine the defect type (flat or volume) was represented. The results of experimental studies of the elements of the welded joint of the pipeline were presented and the direction of further work on the development of a new method of control was determined
