Abstract

In this paper the features of acoustic vibration speed measurement in concrete structures by using the audio analog-to-digital converters are described.  A Gaussian histogram approximation of series measurements was proposed to improve the accuracy of the propagation delay between the two vibrosensors. The considered method can improve the accuracy of measuring the distance to a defect when using impact method as the main method of diagnosis. This allows to build a cheap diagnostic system  using  analog to digital converters in sound frequency range. The data on the speed of propagation of acoustic oscillations can also be used in the resonance method of diagnosing concrete objects.
